A BUC Prayer for the 62nd General Conference Session
Almighty Lord
As our brothers and sisters around the world start their journeys to the 62nd General Conference Session, we lift them up to You. Keep them safe on every road, in every plane, and on every train. Guard them from accidents, delays, and all unexpected challenges. Bring them to their destination refreshed and ready to conduct the business of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
We pray for the 11 delegates, guests and observers from the British Union Conference. As they sit in the auditorium and witness the proceedings or on committees and make decisions, we pray that they will act in accordance to Your will. May they represent our field with unwavering integrity, profound grace, and divine wisdom throughout their time at the Session.
As we participate virtually, may we experience the atmosphere of heaven through the delivery of Your Word, business sessions, musical concerts. May we sense Your greatness and power in the Stories of Hope each evening.
We pray for a powerful outpouring of Your Spirit as they gather to discuss and decide the future of our church. Grant them clarity of thought and purity of heart. Help them to set aside personal agendas and biases, and to seek Your will above all else.
Give them the courage to make principled decisions, even when it’s difficult or unpopular. Let integrity be their compass and let Your truth be the foundation of every choice. May unity prevail over division and may love guide every interaction.
Especially, Lord, we pray for wisdom in the election of new leaders, globally and throughout our Division, Trans-European. May those chosen be individuals of genuine humility, devoted godliness, and proven experience, ready to serve Your people with grace, foresight, and unwavering commitment to Your Word.
And as the Session unfolds around the theme ‘Jesus is Coming, I Will Go’ ignite within every attendee a renewed sense of mission. May they return to their home fields fired up, eager to share the good news and serve Your people with fresh zeal and purpose, carrying the spirit of ‘I Will Go!’ into every aspect of their lives.
We ask that every decision made at this Session would honour Your name and bless Your global church.
For Thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory.
Amen.
